About The Position

The Membership & Admissions Associate at the Sacramento Zoo is a seasonal, part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service to zoo visitors. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests, responsible for admitting visitors, selling memberships, and managing donor data. The associate will play a key role in enhancing the visitor experience, particularly during a new immersive nighttime event series at the zoo.

Requirements

• Outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.
• Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated team player.
• Attention to detail and excellent oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with computers is needed.
• Cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of customer service experience (preferred).
• 1 year of cash handling experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide great customer service in all aspects of guest interactions, including greeting and directing members and guests upon arrival.
• Sell admission tickets and recommend memberships.
• Assist with guest purchases for additional zoo experiences, including rides, attractions, and fundraising events.
• Direct visitors to the correct admission line to expedite entry.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and donor database with strict attention to detail.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions.
• Sit or stand for long periods of time and lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
