About the position

The Sacker is primarily responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction through effective grocery sacking and front-end courtesy duties. This role involves engaging with guests, assisting them with their groceries, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in the store.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests upon their entry.
  • Provide ultimate service by sacking groceries and taking them to guests' vehicles.
  • Hustle safely in and out of the store during carry outs.
  • Encourage guest participation in satisfaction surveys and rewards programs.
  • Use resources responsibly to help ensure store profitability.
  • Follow daily work schedule as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to dress code as per team member handbook.
  • Follow attendance and tardiness guidelines as per team member handbook.
  • Report spills or item damage to management and replace products safely.
  • Perform sacking duties according to training to ensure guest safety and convenience.
  • Move between check stands as guest flow dictates.
  • Greet and speak politely with every guest in the store and parking lot.
  • Replace sack supply as necessary.
  • Perform occasional stocker duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment efficiently and in a controlled manner.
  • Ability to perform physical aspects of sacker/stocker duties including bending, lifting, standing, squatting, climbing, walking, and running.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 80 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to place items weighing up to 80 lbs. in vehicles' floorboards and trunk space.
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
