About the position

The Mobile SAF-IS Regional Program Manager at the American Red Cross plays a crucial role in supporting the Service to Armed Forces and International Services Division. This position is responsible for delivering programs and services to U.S. military members, veterans, and their families, with a focus on International Services. The role requires managing volunteers, ensuring deployment readiness, and maintaining strong community relationships. This hybrid position involves working in the community, in the office, and occasionally from home, with a requirement for worldwide deployment every 18-24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of American Red Cross programs and services to military members, veterans, and their families.
• Manage volunteers and collaborate with other Red Cross departments to enhance visibility for SAF/IS U.S. within the military community.
• Serve as part of the Hero Care Center Contingency Team, providing supervision and support during surge situations and disaster responses.
• Support Disaster Cycle Services as necessary, adhering to COOP SAF responsibilities.
• Maintain deployment readiness by completing medical and clearance requirements and ongoing training for casework and relationship management.
• Build strong relationships and partnerships with external constituents in the local community.

Requirements

• Must reside in Ohio.
• Experience in program management and community outreach.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage volunteers and work collaboratively with various departments.
• Proficiency in casework and disaster response protocols.
