About the position

The Operations Coordinator at the Center for Survivors is responsible for managing day-to-day operations at the Safe Place Shelter, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals experiencing interpersonal violence. This role involves overseeing operational activities, maintaining records, and collaborating with various programs to provide trauma-informed services to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees food and supply inventory purchases in accordance with grant requirements and policies.
  • Participates in a shared case management system to support collaboration and consultation.
  • Forecasts needs and orders supplies to maintain inventory levels.
  • Coordinates and oversees daily operational activities to deliver timely and effective services to clients.
  • Supports residential clients with transportation, accessing resources, basic needs, and groceries.
  • Coordinates with the Safety and Operations Manager regarding maintenance of the shelter site, including emergency procedures and routine inspections.
  • Manages facility technology and maintenance requests.
  • Coordinates community donations and disbursement to clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a business-related field or related area of employment.
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience in operations or a similar field.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of basic personal computer terminology and operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience and training on the dynamics of intimate partner violence and its effect on children.
  • Experience in a 24-hour residential setting.
  • Commitment to empowering survivors and ability to relate to diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
