About the position
The Safety Compliance Auditor at California Closets is responsible for ensuring adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies, as well as compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations. This remote position requires the candidate to monitor safety standards, conduct training, and analyze compliance data across various locations. The role emphasizes the importance of occupational safety and the proper use of tools and equipment in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Perform virtual training, inspections, and coaching on safety standards and proper usage of tools and equipment.
- Coach and partner with front-line team leaders to correct non-compliances and establish future compliance processes.
- Conduct reviews of practices and records to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, including shop safety audits and onsite inspections.
- Assist with completion of key EH&S metrics and provide data analysis for safety parameters.
- Monitor driver safety and auto claims, ensuring all drivers are licensed and identifying high-risk drivers.
- Conduct research and stay updated on EH&S regulations and standards.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a safety or environmental support role.
- Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
- Understanding and knowledge of Cal-OSHA and other federal and state occupational laws.
- Knowledge of auditing and supporting locations virtually.
- Experience with data analytics and data reporting tools.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SAMBA background check systems.
- Understanding of corporate processes for documentation and training.
