About the position
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for leading efforts to promote Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance on field projects. This role involves monitoring safety conditions, implementing safety policies, and ensuring that all employees receive appropriate safety training. The Safety Coordinator has the authority to halt unsafe actions and is tasked with conducting safety analyses and investigations to maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Promote EHS compliance on field projects.
- Monitor the workplace for hazardous safety and health conditions.
- Implement company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees receive appropriate safety and health training.
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings and daily ToolBox talks.
- Assess and improve engineering controls, ergonomics, and PPE.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes.
- Provide written post-job safety reports.
- Participate in the development of safety processes and training programs.
- Travel anywhere within the US on short notice.
Requirements
- Experience with safety codes, OSHA, and MSHA.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Basic reading and math skills.

- Ability to work any shift, overtime, or on-call as needed.
