About the position
The Safety Coordinator at The Brock Group is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of operations at the Brinderson Marathon Anacortes location. This role involves overseeing safety protocols, conducting orientations, and ensuring that all safety measures are adhered to by employees. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at the job site.
- Conduct safety orientations for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff.
- Monitor and assess safety practices and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain records of safety incidents and training sessions.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the work site.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to the waist and 35 pounds from the waist to above shoulder.
- Experience in safety coordination or a related field.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights exceeding 100 feet.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information.
Nice-to-haves
