About The Position

The SMS Program Manager provides guidance and direction for the planning, implementation, and operation of the organization's Safety Management System (SMS). Serves as the primary administrator of the airport's SMS software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in the related field.
• SMS Certification is preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in the aviation industry.
• Ability to pass federal background check.
• Clear driving record.
• Ability to work for a US employer without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and advice to senior management on matters related to SMS and safe operations.
• Interact with operational personnel, senior managers, and departmental heads throughout the organization.
• Foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities, agencies, tenants, and service providers outside the organization.
• Make correct and timely decisions about safety issues.
• Manage changing circumstances and situations with little supervision.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
