About the position
The Safety Manager at HazTek Inc. in Mount Pleasant, WI is responsible for ensuring safety compliance and best practices on commercial construction projects. This role focuses on fostering a culture of safety, overseeing safety audits, and managing subcontractors to maintain OSHA compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Perform daily safety audits and inspections
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
- Manage Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation safety protocols
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
- Degree in a safety related field preferred
- OSHA 510 and/or 500 certification a plus
- CHST or CSP certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
