About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programs. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to analyze and mitigate risks within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and EPA guidelines.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis for incidents and accidents, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee the development of training programs related to EHS (Environmental Health and Safety), first aid, and emergency response procedures.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on incidents.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, compliance issues, and training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various departments to foster a proactive approach to workplace safety.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to occupational health and safety.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers' compensation processes.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Experience in training development for safety protocols and procedures.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus; additional certifications in EHS are highly desirable.
  • Ability to fabricate solutions for identified safety issues through innovative problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) for at least 1 year.
  • Ability to relocate to Greeley, CO 80631 before starting work.
