About the position

The Safety Professional at Medcor Safety is responsible for identifying safety hazards on construction sites and communicating effectively with site crews and management to mitigate these risks. This role requires strong teamwork, communication skills, and knowledge of safety regulations at various levels, including federal, state, and local requirements. The position is full-time and involves working closely with field personnel and management throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive professional relationships with field personnel and management.
• Coordinate and conduct audits of all crews to identify unsafe work conditions and practices.
• Document and communicate site audit information.
• Audit training records of all field personnel.
• Implement federal, local, and site-specific safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Review and participate in the development of accident briefs and safety-related publications.
• Participate in the development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and safety meetings.
• Review client/owner specific requirements to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Current CPR / First Aid Card required.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification required.
• CHST or OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Relevant safety experience required.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheet generation.
