About the position

The Safety Program Analyst at MasTec Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Infrastructure Market Sector by developing, analyzing, and communicating actionable safety-related data. This position involves collaboration with the Vice President of Safety and other Safety Directors, focusing on safety program development, training, and claims management, while ensuring effective communication of safety performance metrics across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute custom safety-related reports from various data sources including Power BI and Donesafe.
  • Teach others to use the various basic functions of Donesafe.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze safety dashboards for various levels of the organization.
  • Track and report statistical safety performance including company and subcontractor work hours.
  • Respond to requests for statistical leading and lagging indicator performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting of the Donesafe tool and consult with their customer service reps as necessary.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs that support the Infrastructure Market Sector and Service Lines.
  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations to support the Infrastructure group and Service Lines.
  • Conduct safety-related training.
  • Assist in the preparation of meetings and presentations at remote locations such as offices, projects, and leadership events.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Safety, or other related field.
  • Intermediate experience in schedule management.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in database management, analytics, and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Safety training and knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • 5 or more years of construction project experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
