The Safety Project Coordinator (SPJC) plays a crucial role in enhancing workplace safety across various construction and commercial HVAC project sites. This position is responsible for assessing safety conditions, enforcing safety standards, and educating employees on best practices to ensure a safe working environment. The SPJC will regularly visit multiple job sites to monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies, working closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager (EHSM) to develop and implement effective safety programs. In this role, the SPJC will conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks to ensure that all employees are well-informed about safety protocols and procedures. The coordinator will also be tasked with investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Regular safety inspections and risk assessments will be part of the job, aimed at identifying potential hazards and implementing necessary corrective measures. Additionally, the SPJC will assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans, coordinating safety drills, and promoting a culture of safety among site supervisors, foremen, and workers. Accurate documentation and record-keeping of safety records, including training logs, inspection reports, and incident investigations, will also be essential responsibilities of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of the workforce.
