About the position

The Safety Risk Manager at Emerge360 is responsible for overseeing safety practices and risk management within the organization. This role involves identifying safety risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of safety across all facilities. The manager will lead a team, manage safety-related activities, and collaborate with various departments to enhance safety protocols and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and other relevant laws.
• Conduct internal safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Maintain job hazard analysis and personal protective equipment protocols.
• Monitor and update safety procedures and policies.
• Lead investigations of accidents and analyze incident reports.
• Complete and maintain OSHA logs and incident reporting.
• Deliver safety briefings and training to employees.
• Manage company health programs and safety training initiatives.
• Mentor new staff and conduct workshops on safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of risk management experience, preferably in Industrial Wholesale Distribution and Manufacturing.
• At least three years in a management role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• AED, CPR, and First Aid certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the chemical industry.
• Knowledge of electrical hazard safety and fall protection.
• Proficiency with cranes, forklifts, and front-end loaders.
• Experience with Cornerstone and/or KPA software.
