The Safety & Security Guard at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, employees, and property. In this role, the Safety & Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, which may vary based on the hotel's needs. The guard must uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag as per brand standards. Communication is key; therefore, maintaining radio contact with the Front Desk and Night Auditor is essential, as is using proper two-way radio etiquette when interacting with other employees. The responsibilities extend to maintaining visual contact with the Front Desk and the front door of the hotel, ensuring a constant presence in the lobby area when not conducting property walks. The guard will also be tasked with maintaining and reviewing a daily activity log, ensuring confidentiality regarding guest and employee incidents, and holding briefings with Guest Services staff at the beginning and end of each shift. Other duties include checking IDs of visitors and employees, opening secured areas for authorized personnel, and being aware of the legal limitations of the position. The Safety & Security Guard will respond to various situations, including complaints, medical emergencies, and security alarms, and will assist outside agencies as necessary. They will also monitor CCTV cameras, challenge suspicious individuals, check for safety hazards, and administer First Aid or CPR when required. Completing incident and accident reports clearly and concisely is a critical part of the job, along with answering phones and dispatching as needed. The role may also involve assisting with special functions, receiving deliveries, and handling lost and found items according to established standards.
