About the position
The General Manager is responsible for running a well-trained, properly staffed, and profitable restaurant while ensuring that the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This role involves working closely with a supervisor to set the restaurant's goals and creating a plan to achieve those goals. The General Manager leads a team of Managers with specific responsibilities, helping them set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving the departments, the overall performance of the restaurant improves. Additionally, the General Manager is responsible for hiring and developing their managers and crew to ensure the restaurant has the right team for future success.
Responsibilities
- Run a well-trained and properly staffed restaurant
- Ensure the restaurant meets customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness
- Work with supervisor to set restaurant goals
- Create and implement plans to achieve restaurant goals
- Lead a team of Managers with specific responsibilities
- Help Management team set their own goals and follow up on progress
- Provide coaching and direction to improve departments
- Hire and develop managers and crew for future success
Requirements
- Previous General Manager experience running high volume locations
- Background in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate owned and operated restaurants
