About the position

The Sales Account Executive at MNI Targeted Media is responsible for driving advertising sales and developing client relationships within the Detroit territory. This role requires a proactive approach to identify and grow a territory of clients through various sales strategies, including face-to-face meetings and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, particularly in media and advertising, and will work collaboratively with internal teams to create integrated marketing solutions that meet client needs and exceed revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue goals set by the company for existing and developmental accounts.
  • Prospect new business opportunities in the territory through outreach to new clients and advertising agencies.
  • Develop integrated media plans collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Utilize published information to approach advertisers with educated sensitivity and make presentations to key decision makers.
  • Provide management with timely updates on the pipeline of business and territory challenges.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' media sales experience, with digital sales experience preferred.
  • Background in advertising and media/planning/buying.
  • Proven track record of developing and growing a client base and agency relationships.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in advertising/media sales with the ability to develop and present high-level media strategies.
  • Strong sales skills and effective negotiating abilities.
  • Solid computer skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Nielsen, ComScore, and Scarborough.
  • Creative and persuasive communication style.
