About the position

The Sales Account Executive at Dependable Hawaiian Express, Inc. is responsible for retaining and growing existing revenue streams while developing new sales opportunities within the freight forwarding and logistics industry. This role requires collaboration with the Sales and Operations team to create account plans, manage customer relationships, and achieve sales targets. Responsibilities

  • Retain and grow existing revenue streams.
  • Develop a pipeline of new sales and tactical opportunities with assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Operations team to develop robust account plans.
  • Manage relationships and partnerships with existing customers to achieve sales targets.
  • Assist with contract negotiation and ongoing contract management.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for each customer to maximize revenue.
  • Conduct customer visitations as per the servicing plan.
  • Participate in gap reviews involving relevant customers.
  • Monitor market trends, customer performance, revenue contribution, and growth.
  • Keep the management team informed of communications with customers and industry developments.
  • Represent the company internally and externally at industry functions and conferences.
  • Build a culture of high performance within the sales team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing, or three years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive or in other sales/customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
