About the position

The Sales Account Executive - Personal Care Ingredients at ChemPoint is responsible for building profitable sales within an assigned territory by managing existing customer relationships and pursuing new business opportunities. This role employs a consultative sales approach to develop long-term partnerships and provides tailored solutions to meet the needs of sophisticated, multi-location accounts. The position requires collaboration with industry representatives and involves gathering market intelligence to drive sales strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage a territory of accounts consisting of ChemPoint's most strategic customer segments.
• Forecast customer demand and implement strategies to address driven situations.
• Implement ChemPoint marketing plans to improve sales of key products.
• Work closely with Industry Representatives on secured accounts of existing customers.
• Uncover and evaluate customer needs and use financial analysis to develop and support solutions that match our product/service offerings.
• Conduct targeted prospecting using a variety of resources.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business or other related discipline.
• Three or more years of strategic account management experience (chemical sales experience is a plus).
• Formal sales training or equivalent experience in consultative sales.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required.
• CRM and/or other database experience highly desired.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with a wide variety of personality types at various professional skill-levels.
• Proactive, positive great teammate who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis.
• Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.
