About the position

The Sales Account Executive at Eurofins USA Environment Testing is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned region by establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, developing sales strategies, and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closing. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, laboratory knowledge, and excellent communication skills to effectively meet client needs and contribute to the company's mission of ensuring safety and sustainability in various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Meet individual revenue goals for the assigned region.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients and laboratories.
  • Provide sales plan forecasts for the assigned region.
  • Review credit status of new and existing customers before submitting bids or proposals.
  • Monitor accounts receivable status and resolve collection issues as needed.
  • Develop and recommend strategies for pricing and bid decisions, including Master Service agreements.
  • Develop client profiles to assess potential and funding capabilities.
  • Qualify, track, and close leads to increase revenue.
  • Report sales activity and update customer databases to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement account plans with specific clients and revenue goals.
  • Negotiate and complete Master Service Agreements with customers.
  • Collect and document information to establish pricing and evaluate Eurofins' ability to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate customer needs to Customer Service Managers and Project Managers.
  • Complete summaries of sales development activities as directed by GM.
  • Communicate all business opportunities by entering information into Eurofins database.
  • Follow up on outstanding bids, quotes, proposals, and pricing inquiries.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual issues with GM approval.
  • Present Eurofins as a network of laboratories to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Provide feedback on market conditions to facilitate new product development.
  • Assist with the development of sales materials and gather intelligence on competitors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of progressively successful sales experience in a service industry.
  • Laboratory experience and exposure to the environmental industry preferred.
  • Strong writing skills for sales and account plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment and be self-directed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with lab functions and terminology.
  • Sales-specific skills such as prospect identification, interviewing, negotiating, and closing.
