About the position

The Sales Account Executive at Eurofins is responsible for driving revenue growth within the assigned region by establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, developing sales strategies, and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closing. This role requires a proactive approach to identify business opportunities and communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting individual revenue goals for assigned region.
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships between clients and the laboratory.
  • Provides sales plan forecasts for the assigned region.
  • Reviews credit status of new and existing customers prior to submitting bids or proposals.
  • Monitors accounts receivable status and resolves collection issues as required.
  • Develops and recommends strategies for pricing and bid/no bid decisions.
  • Develops client profiles to determine potential and funding ability.
  • Tracks and closes leads to increase revenue.
  • Reports sales activity within the assigned area.
  • Updates customer databases to identify business opportunities.
  • Develops and implements account plans detailing specific clients and revenue goals.
  • Establishes, coordinates, negotiates, and completes Master Service Agreements with customers.
  • Collects and documents information to establish pricing and evaluate Eurofins' ability to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicates customer needs to Customer Service Managers and Project Managers.
  • Completes summaries of sales development activities as directed by GM.
  • Communicates all business opportunities by entering information into Eurofins database.
  • Follows up on outstanding bids, quotes, proposals, and price inquiries.
  • Negotiates pricing and contractual issues with GM approval.
  • Presents as a network of laboratories to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Assumes role as 'sponsor' for National Accounts as needed.
  • Provides feedback on market conditions to facilitate new product development.
  • Provides information on business opportunity outcomes and future pricing strategies.
  • Provides forecasting information to assist operational staff with planning.
  • Assists with the development of sales materials.
  • Gathers and communicates intelligence on competitors.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for new products and services.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Sciences or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years progressively successful sales experience in a service industry.
  • Lab experience and exposure to the environmental industry preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in an unstructured environment.
  • Familiarity with lab functions and terminology.
