About the position

Lamar Advertising is seeking a new Account Executive for our Montgomery, Alabama office. This role is essential for promoting and selling outdoor advertising to qualified advertisers in the area. The Account Executive will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives by developing long-term advertising relationships and utilizing professional sales techniques. The position offers a salary plus commission, with the potential for unlimited earnings based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports
  • Target businesses in the assigned area and visit established Lamar clients as well as competitors' clients
  • Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition
  • Cluster accounts to work them efficiently
  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects and follow up on leads
  • Prepare proposals, written presentations, and conduct research
  • Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly
  • Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining sales plans and following up on client production orders

  • Ability to make oral presentations and articulate policies and procedures

  • Current and Valid Driver's License required
