About the position

Assist America, Inc. is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Sales Account Executive. This position is crucial for driving sales through Assist America's distribution channels. The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for promoting Assist America's value-added services to various entities, including Insurance Companies, Managed Care Organizations, and specific Associations and Affinity Groups. Additionally, the role involves promoting digital and retail sales of the Global Travel Plus brand. Candidates for this position should be self-starters, entrepreneurial, goal-driven, and collaborative, as these traits are essential for success in this dynamic sales environment. The Sales Account Executive will develop and manage an annual Business Plan and Budget aimed at achieving sales goals. This includes maintaining a current General and “Hot” Prospect List of opportunities to ensure a steady pipeline of potential clients. The role encompasses all aspects of the sales process, from lead generation and presentations to participation in the RFP process, closing deals, and implementing new business. Furthermore, the Sales Account Executive will be tasked with developing and implementing digital sales strategies specifically for the Global Travel Plus brand. In addition to acquiring new clients, the Sales Account Executive will assist the Assist America team in promoting and expanding business with existing clients, as well as cross-selling ancillary products and services. Ensuring effective onboarding of new clients is also a critical responsibility. The role requires establishing constructive and supportive working relationships with other team members to foster outstanding client service and business development. The Sales Account Executive will also be expected to identify potential new product areas for research and development based on market activity and contribute to recurring brainstorming and planning sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage an annual Business Plan and Budget to achieve sales goals
  • Develop and keep current a General and 'Hot' Prospect List of opportunities
  • Conduct all aspects of sales process including lead generation, presentations participation in RFP process, closing and implementing new business
  • Develop and implement digital sales strategies for Global Travel Plus brand
  • Assist the Assist America team in promoting and expanding business with existing clients and cross selling ancillary products and services
  • Ensure effective onboarding of new clients
  • Establish constructive and supportive working relationships with other members of Assist America team in support of outstanding client service and business development
  • Identification from own market activity potential new product areas for research and development
  • Attend and contribute to recurring brainstorming and planning sessions

Requirements

  • Three to Six years' experience in the sale and/or marketing of products or services
  • Strong history of superior sales results
  • A commitment to first class customer service
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight travel
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Competency with, and ability to use effectively, standard/common technology platforms software
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline

Nice-to-haves

  • Second language is preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in the travel or travel related services, affinity, or association business preferred
  • Insurance Producer License (Preferred)
  • Life Insurance License (Preferred)
