About the position

The Sales Account Executive at Budderfly is a key role focused on driving new business and building strong partnerships with customers in the energy management sector. This position involves targeting strategic solution sales initiatives, particularly in energy efficiency, and requires a consultative approach to sales. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a proven track record in exceeding sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Research assigned accounts and market segments to create a qualified target prospect list.
  • Strategically prospect for new customers and partnerships through lead generation via cold calls and email campaigns.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Create and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure bookings over-achievement.
  • Partner with Budderfly Sales, Operations, and Technology teams to engage directly with potential clients.
  • Negotiate complex deals and assist in responding to RFPs to win business.
  • Manage complex sales cycles through closure for new accounts and expansion.
  • Achieve business goals and quota for assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development/sales experience in technology and solution sales.
  • Experience selling IoT and energy efficiency solutions to Facilities/Sustainability Managers in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Casual Dining, and/or C Store Markets.
  • Excellent verbal, written, slide generation, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for closing business, improving customer results, and expanding accounts.
  • Consistent sales quota achievement.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
