About the position

The Sales/Account Manager for Engineering Solutions at Butler Aerospace & Defense is responsible for leading sales activities and managing assigned accounts to meet sales objectives. This role involves building relationships with clients, generating leads, and collaborating with various teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve business goals. The position requires a strong understanding of the Aerospace and Defense industry and the ability to present engineering solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create and utilize best laid out marketing approach to both assigned and new clients
  • Self-generate leads through research and initial contact, eventually introducing leadership to drive closure on deal success
  • Establish and build a trusted advisor and credible business and technical consultant relationship with clients and sales executives
  • Lead the sales process from customer identification through contract including proposal management and pricing
  • Work with Engineering, Recruiting and Finance teams to accomplish business goals
  • Meet or exceed sales goals including revenue, bookings and margin targets
  • Manage account post-sale to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Provide through proper channels voice of the customer insight on market, products, and opportunities
  • Maintain a sales pipeline and accurate forecasts
  • Develop a strong high-level knowledge of the entire digital enterprise product design and manufacturing portfolio
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
  • Work on strategic opportunities with BAA's parent company, HCL Technologies
  • Work in a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing
  • At least 3 years in a sales/account management role (experience in selling digital solutions a plus)
  • Must be highly self-motivated, high energy, and possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Must be able to travel 30% of the time
  • Must be a US-Citizen
  • Excellent understanding of the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Ability to identify decision-makers and build strong relationships with customers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be dynamic in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients
  • Self-starter, motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision
  • Proven record of ability to present engineering and technology solutions in front of groups while incorporating specific selling techniques
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
