About the position

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for establishing a sales development strategy to identify, qualify, and sell to new customers in the Florida Territory. This role is crucial for driving new business and cultivating relationships within the Pregis channel partner network. Candidates must be based in the high growth markets of metro Jacksonville, Orlando, or Miami. The Sales Account Manager will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and will play a key role in managing growth and retention of an established book of end-user business. This includes facilitating positive, growth-oriented relationships, developing sales strategies, and conducting sales forecasting. In this position, the Sales Account Manager will initiate and quote new items, coordinating with operations, customer service, and engineering to deliver competitive and effective quotes. Establishing legitimate sales forecasts within the assigned territory is essential to help plan for overall sales volume and profit. The role also involves regular analysis of market position, profitability, and competitive impact, ensuring that all administrative duties within the territory are managed in a timely and accurate manner. The Sales Account Manager must act with urgency at assigned accounts, supporting accounts receivable, optimizing pricing and profitability, and managing customer relationship management (CRM) systems, travel and expenses (T&E), and other administrative tasks. This position requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of new opportunities, leveraging existing distribution networks, and driving new business within the established territory.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivating relationships with and driving new business through the Pregis channel partner network.
  • Managing growth and retention of an established book of end-user business by facilitating positive, growth-oriented relationships, sales strategy development, and sales forecasting.
  • Initiating and quoting new items, establishing coordination with operations, customer service, and engineering for competitive quotes.
  • Establishing legitimate sales forecasts within the assigned territory to help plan for overall sales volume and profit.
  • Regularly analyzing market position, profitability, and competitive impact.
  • Managing all administrative duties within the territory in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Acting with urgency at assigned accounts, supporting accounts receivable, optimizing pricing and profitability, and managing CRM and T&E.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma, business, or package engineering major preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of outside B2B sales experience.
  • Possess an impressive track record of prospecting new accounts and new business.
  • Drive new business through existing distribution network within established territory.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Highly effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials.
  • Results-oriented, highly motivated to perform with minimal direct management.
  • High degree of personal and professional ethical standards.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
  • Organized, effective time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Pregis products, applications, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic machine repairs.
  • Occasional heavy lifting required.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
