About the position

The Sales Account Manager for Reagent Services at GenScript is responsible for driving and supporting sales efforts within a designated territory, primarily focusing on custom life science services. This role involves implementing sales and marketing strategies, developing profitable initiatives, and building strong customer relationships to achieve sales goals. The ideal candidate will leverage their scientific knowledge and business acumen to expand GenScript's market presence, particularly in Florida and Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Regional Sales Account Manager (RSAM) and Technical Account Manager (TAM) to grow and develop an assigned sales territory.
  • Achieve sales goals for the assigned territory by implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Conduct quote and lead follow-up, account management, and customer visits, spending 30% of time on administrative tasks and 70% on fieldwork.
  • Collaborate with RSAM, TAM, and Area Director to secure business in a competitive environment.
  • Understand customer research applications and align GenScript services with their project requirements.
  • Share market knowledge with Sales, TAM, and Marketing teams through weekly feedback reports.
  • Introduce GenScript to new markets including Industrial, Academic, and Government sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a scientific discipline, preferably in life sciences.
  • 1-3 years of relevant sales experience with a high level of technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of the Biological and CRO or CDMO market, with emphasis on Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, Bioassays, Antibody, and Cell Line Products/Services.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an international business environment and accurately forecast sales.
