About the position

The Account Manager at TrueBlue Inc. is a sales-focused role responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with contractors and subcontractors. This position primarily involves outside sales activities, with some inside sales tasks, aimed at identifying potential customer leads, executing a sales funnel process, and achieving revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking and persuasive skills to drive business growth in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and generating leads
  • Meeting or exceeding revenue, gross margin %, and gross margin dollar targets
  • Developing proposals according to pricing guidelines
  • Managing the sales process and pipeline utilizing Salesforce
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with recruiters, safety, service, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Sharing leads and promoting customer growth with other TrueBlue brands
  • Ensuring compliance with safety processes and procedures
  • Building exceptional relationships with customers by spending at least 75% of time customer-facing
  • Obtaining detailed and accurate job descriptions per SOP
  • Managing participation in industry and strategic community organizations
  • Managing aging within terms
  • Interacting internally and externally with managers and above at the department level

Requirements

  • 2+ years of direct/outside sales/B2B experience, preferably in construction and/or staffing
  • Experience in building sales territories rather than inheriting established markets
  • Demonstrated business acumen, including financial performance and customer relationship management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade, present, negotiate, follow up, and close
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make decisions
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, demonstrating relentless tenacity with specific sales strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population and clients
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus
  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry is a plus
