About the position

The Sales Account Manager for the Tri-State Area is responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing relationships with existing customers to enhance sales of Newly Weds Foods' products and services. This role involves significant travel and requires a proactive approach to sales, including presentations and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Pursue new business opportunities with new accounts through presentations and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Make sales calls to current customers to promote new products and check inventories.
  • Conduct sales meetings and assist with problem resolutions.
  • Negotiate and manage customer pricing requests and contracts.
  • Attend all major industry trade shows and conventions.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree, Bachelor's preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales or a related area, with food/ingredient sales being a significant advantage.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Must be willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time.
