About the position

The Account Manager at Henriksen/Butler Nevada LLC is a pivotal role responsible for generating new sales while managing existing accounts and overseeing project activity within assigned accounts. This position serves as the primary contact for clients, ensuring that all day-to-day business operations run smoothly. The Account Manager will market and promote all of Henriksen/Butler's products and services, coordinating the necessary resources to establish, maintain, and enhance the company's position within assigned accounts. A key aspect of this role is to respond quickly and professionally to client needs, adhering to established procedures for conducting business. In addition to managing client relationships, the Account Manager is expected to develop and promote a detailed business plan based on anticipated business for all assigned accounts. This includes initiating and maintaining account profiles for key accounts and submitting monthly forecasts that detail specific opportunities and identified project activity. The Account Manager will also provide the team with detailed status reports from customer service on all account activity, including open orders, proposals, and projects. Keeping the team informed of any problems or unresolved issues, changes in personnel, product standards, or competitive initiatives is crucial for maintaining effective communication. The role requires participation in all sales and team meetings, as well as relevant training opportunities. The Account Manager will also be responsible for submitting all requested information within designated timeframes and may be assigned additional duties as needed, which may change due to personal growth, organizational development, or advancements in technology and industry practices.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in professional sales, marketing, or design preferred.
  • 2-5 years of proven sales account management experience, preferably in the furniture industry.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new computer programs/applications.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work accurately to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and priorities.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans and technical drawings.
  • Exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and discretion in handling confidential materials.
