About the position

The Account Manager at LandCare USA LLC is responsible for developing and managing client relationships to achieve sales goals and drive business growth. This role involves strategic account management, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with production teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention. The Account Manager will leverage their sales expertise to cultivate relationships, prepare proposals, and present at various industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Work closely with Production Managers in all aspects of winning, account retention, proposal development and company growth.
  • Leverage executive-level relationships to develop targeted sales strategies that convey a consultative account management approach.
  • Actively research potential clients and pursue new business relationships.
  • Develop pursuit materials, prepare presentations and regularly present at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows and conferences.
  • Maintain existing business relationships through continuous current client communications, responding to client inquiries and resolving problems on their behalf.
  • Maintain a short term and long term business development plan on a monthly basis.
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market trends, deal requirements, growth potential, and financials.
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with production manager, branch manager and divisional operations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (i.e. agronomic and horticulture technical training); reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhance organization reputation via a positive and regular social media presence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of new business development experience with experience cultivating new professional relationships and dealing with long sales cycles.
  • Commercial landscaping experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to acquire new contract sales and enhancement sales in excess of $500K.
  • Proven ability to 'hunt'/prospect for new sales opportunities as it relates to our business.
  • Ability to work independently and meet monthly sales goals.
  • Proven ability to develop leads and network with industry professionals.
  • Ability to assess sites quality and develop enhancement opportunities.

Nice-to-haves
