About the position

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for overseeing all sales activities related to employment, reporting, analyzing, budgeting, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a dynamic and self-motivated individual who can achieve high closing percentages and develop strong relationships with clients. The position focuses on business development and client relations to meet sales and growth expectations, while also being eligible for a profit-sharing plan.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain new revenue accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers through constant communication.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing expert insights and custom solutions.
  • Establish and execute a systematic sales process to identify and address customer needs.
  • Prospect for new leads, qualify opportunities, and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Track leads and sales progress using CRM software.
  • Monitor competition and market conditions to align margins with company goals.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Review and follow up on accounts receivable related to sold projects.
  • Monitor individual sales revenue against established goals.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Establish bid strategies based on client knowledge and historical records.
  • Work with the estimating team to ensure bid accuracy and appropriate markup.
  • Perform accurate project takeoffs and estimates.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as a Sales Account Manager (preferred).
  • Mid-level computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new office software (Heavy Bid).
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales management.
  • Ability to commute to Pontiac, MI 48340 (preferred).
  • Willingness to relocate before starting work (required).
