About the position

The National Account Manager for Checkpoint's Alpha High Theft Solutions brand is responsible for managing and sustaining profitability of large national and regional accounts. This role involves identifying and opening new accounts, introducing Checkpoint's product lines, and ensuring revenue growth and profitability. The position requires collaboration with the Sales Director and involves significant customer interaction to develop sales strategies and maintain strong relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the customer sales strategy for designated accounts.
  • Manage revenue and growth opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Foster long-lasting relationships between accounts and Checkpoint's brand.
  • Set expectations for cooperation and execution within accounts.
  • Drive collaboration and teamwork to close sales of new products.
  • Understand customer needs and work with product management to provide insights.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews to update management on progress indicators.
  • Serve as the primary contact for strategic national accounts.
  • Negotiate favorable contracts with support from finance.
  • Budget and forecast sales for customer volumes and revenue.
  • Research customer pain points and identify new solution opportunities.
  • Provide first-class customer service and care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of six years' experience in sales or equivalent field.
  • Experience with national account responsibility is a plus.
  • Experience as a retail operator and/or in Loss Prevention Senior Management.
  • Experience in customer service or related field is a plus.
  • Global account experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to sell complex solutions and a variety of hardware and specialty products.
  • Solid understanding of current technologies used in retail.
  • Ability to engage in market research and business planning.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and ability to influence others using data.
  • Experience identifying and acquiring new customers.
  • Understanding of planning and supply chain and the importance of accurate forecasting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Formal Sales training is a plus.
  • Experience in sales with both short and long cycle times is a plus.
  • Creative in finding solutions to problems.
  • Experience partnering with Product Management to offer insights.
