About the position

The Sales Account Specialist for the Lexington, KY Territory is responsible for supporting sales generation for TELA Bio's OviTex product portfolio. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, assisting the Territory Manager in sales strategies, and effectively communicating complex clinical data to ensure appropriate product selection for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Manager in planning and implementing sales development plan for assigned territory.
  • Prepare and implement materials to communicate complex clinical data to assist surgeons in product selection based on patient co-morbidities and wound classifications.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Operations team to ensure successful outcomes for clients in the assigned territory.
  • Assist in developing and implementing business plans to meet short-term revenue objectives and optimize long-term opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the firm's CRM database with up-to-date client information.
  • Participate in national and regional commercial team meetings and share best practices with peers.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in a relevant degree program.
  • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in the life science industry, preferably in the biologics space.
  • Experience handling biologic tissue-based materials.
  • Knowledge of clinical needs of physicians and mechanisms of action of host response to biologic implants.
  • Ability to identify potential market opportunities based on unmet client needs.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Relationship development skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Collaborative/team orientation.
