About the position

The Sales Account Specialist internship is designed to support sales generation for the OviTex product portfolio within the assigned territory. The role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, assisting the Territory Manager in sales strategies, and effectively communicating complex clinical data to aid in product selection for surgeons.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Manager in planning and implementing sales development plan for assigned territory.
  • Prepare and implement materials to communicate complex clinical data to assist surgeons in product selection.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Operations team to ensure successful outcomes for clients in the territory.
  • Assist in developing and implementing business plans to meet short-term revenue objectives and optimize long-term opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the firm's CRM database with current client information.
  • Participate in national and regional commercial team meetings and share best practices.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in a relevant degree program.
  • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in the life science industry, preferably in biologics.
  • Experience in hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, or plastic/soft tissue reconstruction preferred.
  • Experience handling biologic tissue-based materials.
  • Knowledge of clinical needs of physicians and mechanisms of action of biologic implants.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities based on unmet client needs.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Relationship development skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Collaborative/team orientation.
  • Valid driver's license.
