About the position

The Sales Account Specialist is responsible for supporting sales generation for the OviTex product portfolio within the assigned Tampa, FL territory. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, assisting the Territory Manager in leveraging client relationships, and communicating complex clinical data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Manager in planning and implementing sales development plan for assigned territory.
  • Prepare and implement materials to communicate complex clinical data to assist surgeons in product selection based on patient co-morbidities and wound classifications.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Operations team to ensure successful outcomes for clients in the assigned territory.
  • Assist in developing and implementing business plans to meet short-term revenue objectives and optimize longer-term opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the firm's CRM database with up-to-date client information.
  • Participate in national and regional commercial team meetings and calls, sharing best practices with peers.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in a relevant degree program.
  • Minimum 2+ years of sales experience in the life science industry, preferably in the biologics space.
  • Experience in hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, or plastic/soft tissue reconstruction preferred.
  • Experience handling biologic tissue-based materials.
  • Knowledge of clinical needs of physicians and mechanisms of action of host response to biologic implants.
  • Ability to identify potential market opportunities based on unmet client needs.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
