About the position

As a Sales Account Territory Manager at TerraMax Inc, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and managing customer relationships within your designated territory, which includes Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. This position requires a strong understanding of agricultural products and the ability to effectively communicate their benefits to potential customers. You will be responsible for comprehending and selling the full range of products in the TerraMax catalog, ensuring that you are well-versed in the features and advantages of each product to effectively meet customer needs. Your primary responsibilities will include compiling lists of prospective customers and executing tailored sales strategies to convert leads into sales. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships is essential, as you will monitor these relationships throughout the customer interface with all departments. You will be expected to grow your sales territory year by year, demonstrating your ability to expand the customer base and increase sales volume. In addition to direct sales activities, you will provide superior customer service and account management, offering efficient solutions and proper training to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Regular travel within your territory is required, and you must maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license. You will also represent TerraMax at trade shows and public events, requiring you to project a professional image and positive attitude at all times. Social media engagement is another aspect of your role, as you will maintain and provide content for the company's platforms. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehend and sell the full range of products in the catalog.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads and execute individual customer sales strategies.
  • Build, grow, and maintain strong customer relationships and monitor those relationships throughout customer interface with all departments.
  • Grow sales territory which includes Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, year by year.
  • Execute sales calls with regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
  • Provide superior customer service and account management offering efficient solutions and proper training that result in exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to all areas of your territory with a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Attend, set up, and break down all required trade shows.
  • Represent TerraMax in a professional manner at all public events, meetings, trade shows, etc.
  • Maintain and provide content for social media platforms.
  • Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong agricultural knowledge.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience with MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • CRM experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license.
