About the position

The Sales Agent position at Hippo Insurance involves providing exceptional customer service and selling various insurance products, including homeowners, auto, and flood insurance. The role requires a Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license and focuses on maximizing lead volume through effective communication and sales techniques. Responsibilities

  • Support the Builder channel with production responsibilities during fiscal year-end surge in volume.
  • Provide superb customer experiences via chat, phone, and e-mail interactions.
  • Maximize lead volume and pipeline through daily call activity (both inbound and outbound).
  • Identify customer needs and present options from various carriers and lines of business.
  • Thoroughly explain coverage details and assist customers through the purchasing experience.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • Current and active resident license for Property & Casualty or Personal Lines.
  • Experience quoting multiple lines of insurance is highly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and keep required licenses across all states.
  • Exceptional client support skills.
  • Self-motivated and directed with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to help others solve problems.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic culture.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in insurance sales for at least 1 year.
