The Sales Agronomist position in Western North Dakota involves selling agronomy products such as seed, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and soil sampling services to local agricultural growers. The role requires making informed crop input recommendations and promoting new products through agronomy events. Responsibilities
- Sell agronomy products including seed, ag chemicals, fertilizers, and soil sampling services to area ag growers.
- Make informed crop input recommendations to ag growers.
- Interact with the general public to promote new products through agronomy events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local ag growers.
- Work extended hours during the busy agronomy season.
Requirements
- 2- or 4-year Agronomy or related degree.
- Solid knowledge of agronomy and crops raised in Western North Dakota.
- Understanding of crop inputs used with Western North Dakota crops.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 3 or more years of experience making recommendations to ag growers on specialized programs utilizing ag chemicals, fertilizers, and seed.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and solution-finding skills.
- Desire to become embedded and involved in the local community.
