About the position

The Sales and Business Development Manager at BrightStar Care is responsible for developing and managing a territory to increase sales in the home healthcare sector. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals and facilities to generate leads and promote the BrightStar brand. The position requires a high-energy individual who is passionate about serving the community and improving lives through effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Call on healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics, and eldercare facilities to generate sales for private duty homecare and medical staffing.
  • Meet or exceed established sales targets.
  • Develop a marketing plan for new or existing territory.
  • Join and attend area networking and chamber groups.
  • Seek, develop, and participate in marketing opportunities in the community.
  • Establish working rapport with healthcare professionals in the territory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or communications preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and monitor referrals, managing a sales territory while maintaining and building relationships with new and existing contacts.
  • A minimum of one year experience in the home healthcare industry preferred.
  • Experience with public speaking and strong persuasive and educational writing skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of healthcare in home and institutional settings.
  • Comfortable with closing and asking for business.
  • Exhibit outstanding organizational skills and a service attitude towards the community.
  • Requires valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in home care or hospice services.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
