The Sales & Business Development Representative at Chaney Enterprises is a pivotal role responsible for identifying, developing, selling, and servicing customers and markets within assigned territories. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, focusing on the generation of new business while retaining existing clients. The representative will engage in public and community relations to enhance the company's presence and reputation in the market. In this role, the representative will develop itineraries to maintain regular contact with customers, ensuring satisfaction and fostering strong relationships with company owners and key personnel. The representative will monitor business leads through the established Major Bid Process, which includes tracking CMDs, developing referrals, reaching out to inactive customers, and overseeing the issuance of permits. Attendance at major bid openings is also a key responsibility. Customer-centricity is crucial; thus, the representative will record all customer interactions and activities in Sales Force, prepare quotes based on an established pricing matrix, and place orders while monitoring product delivery. Troubleshooting customer complaints regarding billing, quality, and service is essential to instill satisfaction. The representative will also assist the Billing and Credit departments in resolving account issues. Active participation in networking events, community meetings, and seminars is expected to promote the company's products and services. The representative will entertain customers to strengthen relationships and compile accurate daily sales reports and monthly mileage/expense reports. Additionally, the role involves preparing customer profile forms for the Credit department and assisting Operations Managers and Dispatchers as needed. The representative will also prepare a projected business outlook for their territories and perform quality control tests to ensure compliance with product standards. Continuing education to advance industry knowledge and adherence to safety regulations at job sites are also part of the role. Special projects may be assigned as needed.
