About the position

The Sales and Marketing Director / Community Relations Director is responsible for overseeing all marketing, branding, and community outreach efforts for the facility. This role involves building relationships with residents, families, staff, and the public to facilitate admissions and enhance the overall customer service experience. The director will work closely with the executive team to develop policies, conduct training, and monitor the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct job responsibilities in a professional manner according to Assisted Living Standards of Virginia and applicable laws.
  • Work with the executive director to enhance customer service for residents and families.
  • Promote the facility to the public and prospective residents and employees.
  • Develop and perform special events to promote goodwill among employees and the community.
  • Participate in facility events to support marketing efforts.
  • Maintain prospect and inquiry files, and admission files for residents.
  • Develop relationships with community leaders and referral sources.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of the marketing and outreach budget.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of marketing media materials, including website and social media.
  • Capture and track prospects and analyze marketing program success.
  • Assist in developing in-house messaging and phone etiquette for public perception.
  • Support residents and families in acclimating to the facility.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and assist in financial assistance applications.

Requirements

  • Experience in marketing and community relations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and budget management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing and website management.
  • Understanding of assisted living regulations and standards.
