About the position

The Sales and Marketing Manager at Jackson Hewitt plays a crucial role in guiding clients through tax processes while promoting the company's brand. This position involves developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, training staff, and ensuring superior customer service. The manager will work closely with area managers across multiple states and will be responsible for achieving sales goals and maintaining a positive workplace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in company wide marketing plan and budget
  • Set and evaluate and promote sales and revenue goals
  • Train and coach regularly other employees on sales techniques and overcoming objections
  • Meet set-up deadlines to ensure office locations meet brand/marketing appearance standards in time for office openings
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with area managers and a team of up to 75 employees in 5 states
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and inviting workplace, including removal of trash, vacuuming, bathrooms, cleaning counters, etc.
  • Assist leadership in personnel marketing and recruitment efforts, as needed
  • Create and test new sales and product opportunities in the accounting field

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Sales management experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license and insurance preferred
