About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Hotel Viata plays a crucial role in supporting the property's marketing strategies through content creation, social media management, and coordination of marketing assets. This position is designed to enhance brand visibility and contribute to revenue generation by engaging with various platforms and supporting sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the upkeep of the property's website, ensuring all text, imagery, and information are accurate and up to date.
  • Handle email marketing campaigns for the Hotel, Spa, and Food & Beverage outlets, including drafting copy, resizing images, segmenting audiences, and building campaigns in the property's CRM tool.
  • Focus on ideation and storytelling across social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, creating and uploading content that tells the brand's story and drives engagement.
  • Coordinate support for sales efforts, including outreach to potential clients and partners, and provide marketing materials for promotional efforts.
  • Participate in media relations by assisting with press materials development, monitoring press coverage, and tracking results.
  • Capture moments in real-time according to the content calendar and post videos or photos with approved messaging to relevant platforms.
  • Support event ideation, coordination, and execution, ensuring all key events are documented for future marketing use.
  • Participate in monthly marketing strategy sessions to review recent campaigns and plan upcoming tactics for various departments.
  • Manage the uploading and organization of content in the image management system and handle image resizing for multiple purposes.
  • Conduct regular audits of marketing channels to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Act as a liaison between the marketing and revenue teams to support marketing initiatives and ensure alignment.
  • Use tools like Canva and Photoshop to design flyers, collateral, and printed materials for departmental needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Two or more years of related marketing communications or digital marketing experience, with an emphasis on social media content creation and ideation.
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage projects and coordinate media activities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly through written and verbal formats, with strong presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications and a willingness to learn new systems as needed.
