About the position

The Director, Sales & Marketing position is a pivotal role focused on developing sales teams and expanding the company's reach into new national and global markets. The individual in this role will be responsible for building key relationships, identifying new potential accounts, and creating and implementing marketing and communication plans and materials to support the growth of the company. This position requires a strategic mindset to diversify the ZeroTouch product through a well-defined 1-3 year roadmap, while also developing a global network of partners to accelerate sales strategies. In this role, the Director will manage the sales force, conduct direct sales, and escalate opportunities as necessary. They will be tasked with building and motivating a team to meet business objectives, designing commission plans, monitoring quotas and territory coverage, and recommending resources for effective sales goal execution. Establishing KPIs, revenue forecasts, metrics, pipelines, and action plans will be critical to the success of this position. The Director will also drive proposal and contract processes in collaboration with Sales Operations, review and negotiate customer terms and NDAs, and develop and execute marketing strategies that align with market needs. The role involves creating value propositions and marketing materials in collaboration with internal teams, conducting market intelligence on prospects and competitors, and leading marketing efforts by coaching the team on the effective utilization of various content types. The Director will oversee the development of strategic collateral and electronic sales tools, collaborating with external design resources to ensure consistent branding and a professional image. Additionally, they will manage integrated marketing programs across various platforms, including websites, SEO, PR, tradeshows, and social media, while continuously evaluating for improvements. Fostering trust by prioritizing client interests and maintaining professionalism will be essential in delivering on commitments with authenticity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic 1-3 year roadmap for the diversification of ZeroTouch products.
  • Build and manage a global network of partners to accelerate sales strategies.
  • Conduct direct sales and manage the sales force, escalating opportunities as needed.
  • Build and motivate a high-performing sales team to meet business objectives.
  • Design commission plans, monitor quotas and territory coverage, and recommend resources for sales goal execution.
  • Establish KPIs, revenue forecasts, metrics, pipelines, and action plans to drive sales success.
  • Drive proposal and contract processes in collaboration with Sales Operations.

  • Design marketing materials including brochures, videos, and customer presentations, ensuring consistent branding and professional image.

  • Foster trust by prioritizing client interests and maintaining professionalism in all circumstances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 7 to 10 years of sales leadership experience, including a minimum of 3 years managing employees in a global leadership role.
  • Proven experience in selling high-dollar capital equipment products to customers.
  • Experience penetrating, securing, and managing large major and multi-national accounts.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing communications and public relations activities.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in complex metrology solutions for capital equipment, preferably in automation and metrology industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project Management Tools.
