About the position

The Sales and Service Expert (SSE) at 24 Hour Fitness is responsible for delivering an exceptional sales and service experience to guests and members. This role focuses on building relationships, promoting membership and fitness products, and achieving sales revenue goals while ensuring member retention and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Execute the CARE sales model with each guest to meet their fitness needs.
• Conduct tours for potential members, explaining the facility, equipment, services, and amenities.
• Register all guests through the digital kiosk and communicate membership offers clearly.
• Enroll guests using company sales techniques and adhere to Membership Agreement Procedures.
• On-board new members and assist with retention activities to drive club profitability.
• Obtain leads from the community and generate new business through member promotions and referrals.
• Set appointments for leads and manage follow-ups using a Lead Management System.
• Partner with the Sales and Service Manager to enhance member experience and retention.
• Engage members with fitness offerings and maintain relationships to address their needs.
• Ensure a clean and friendly club environment for members and guests.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience with sales practices and techniques.
• General understanding of the fitness industry.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in operating a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPR and AED certification required within 60 days of employment.
• 1-2 years of experience in service sales preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Membership System software preferred.
• Prior experience in the fitness or retail industry preferred.
