About the position

The retail Sales and Service Specialist (SSS) at Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is a unique hybrid role designed to serve as a key pipeline for future career growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This position is primarily focused on delivering exceptional customer service by assessing customer needs, recommending appropriate products and services, and performing entry-level vehicle services. The SSS plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through the thorough and timely completion of services. Successful candidates will gain comprehensive knowledge of store operations, allowing them to flexibly transition between customer interaction and basic vehicle service tasks as required. In this hybrid role, approximately 75% of the responsibilities will involve customer service, sales, and resolving customer issues, while the remaining 25% will focus on performing basic vehicle service tasks such as oil changes, tire installations, and fluid checks. The SSS will also assist with store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining displays as needed. This position is not only a customer-facing role but also a growth and career development opportunity, where the SSS may assist the Manager or act as Manager-On-Duty in certain circumstances to support their development. The role is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of store operations, preparing individuals for future advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and sales support, addressing customer needs and resolving issues.
  • Perform basic vehicle service tasks, including oil changes, tire installations, and fluid checks.
  • Assist with store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining displays.
  • Act as Manager-On-Duty in certain circumstances to support development and store operations.
  • Complete required store education courses and modules to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid automobile driver's license.
  • Customer service and career growth mindset.
  • Ability to complete required store education courses and modules.
  • Ability to learn and perform basic vehicle service tasks.
  • Ability to learn and operate store systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 year degree or non-traditional education through training program completion or certification.
  • Previous consumer retail sales experience.
  • Previous automotive experience.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience.
