About the position
ClearWell Dynamics is seeking candidates for the position of Sales and Use Tax Accountant located in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities
- Accumulates, reviews, and compiles transaction data to accurately and timely file Multi-State Sales tax returns
- Reconciles sales tax general ledger accounts
- Performs tax research and consults on sales tax issues relating to different transactions and operational changes in the business
- Monitors changes in tax law to ensure compliance with multiple state laws
- Maintains Exemption Certificates and Resale Certificates
- Analyzes and monitors Direct Pay Permit policies and procedures
- Conducts self-audits for multiple divisions to ensure compliance with sales and use tax laws
- Manages the process for meeting sales tax audit requirements including planning, accumulating information requests and addressing all audit findings
- Prepares and files various tax forms related to the trucking divisions to include IFTA Tax, Heavy Use Tax, and annual Fuel Tax Reports
- Reconciles Use tax general ledger accounts
- Performs Use tax research and consults on issues relating to different transactions and operational changes in the business
- Provides sales and use tax training to corporate and division office personnel
- Assists with special projects as required
