In the role of Sales Application Engineer Senior, you will ensure that all reasonable customer requirements are met with regards to specific and specialized engineering needs and commercial aspects such as pricing and customer service. This position requires a high level of communication skill to present an efficient and courteous presence for the customer. You will also engage in additional production and product development projects, which will add a level of integration into the complete sales and production process. This role will provide you with valuable sales and marketing knowledge along with Product Engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as contact for Data Center Hyperscale accounts, providing both technical and commercial assistance
- Assist in the selection of products specific to applications and/or materials of construction designated by the customer
- Assist in customer trainings related to standard products (Chillers, CRAH, CDU)
- Address plant drawing, design and manufacturability issues with product engineers
- Coordinate customer pricing adjustments
- Screen new customer orders and requests
- Work with Customer Service Representatives to address customer needs such as ship dates, VOC's, and other plant-related tasks
- Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
- Coordinate with Product Engineering on customer specific requests
Requirements
- 4 year engineering degree or equivalent job experience
- Experience in Heat Transfer is preferred, Chiller or CRAH background is a plus
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
- Technical aptitude with great attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- Computer aptitude and the ability to learn Modine SAP system
- CAD drafting and the ability to create concept drawings is a plus
- Experience in Customer Service, Manufacturing, or managing accounts is a plus
