Danfoss Drives is currently seeking a Sales Application Engineer to join our team in North America, a region identified as a high growth area for our company. As the leading manufacturer of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), with over 30 million drives produced globally, we are looking for an experienced professional who can help us expand our core industrial verticals, including Food and Beverage, Chemical Oil and Gas, and Heavy Industry. This role is crucial in enabling regional sales growth by developing tailored solutions for our customers and channel partners. The Sales Application Engineer will work closely with our Sales Development and Channels teams to drive demand by understanding customer needs and influencing design decisions. This position involves front-line business development, focusing on new large and strategic industrial customers, including System Integrators, End Users, Engineering Procurement Contractors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers within the assigned territory. The role requires planning and executing activities around industry-specific value propositions, ensuring a seamless flow of information between Sales and Product Management to develop competitive products and solutions. In addition to supporting the launch of new products and features, the Sales Application Engineer will be responsible for building and sharing industry knowledge and best practices within the organization. This includes educating and training team members, partners, and customers, as well as collaborating with a global team of application engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of our products and services, enabling them to engage effectively with customers to understand their technical requirements and propose suitable solutions.
